VR, thanks for the news! That's cool.
OKC Motorsports? ha, never heard of that group.
Road trip is right.....I'd be willing to bet a majority of race spectators ain't locals

Now why would you say that. Dazzling urbanites throughout Oklahoma are waiting with bated breath for this race!

HOLY CRAP!@!#$!@# Are you serious, is this too good to be true?! There is a higher power!!!
Interesting and typical of Oklahomans. In that they tie the choice of date to honoring the military as well as fitting in with the ALMS schedule. Good and bad, ALMS is ready to go next year with a race but the group lead made the right choice in ensuring the venue can be properly prepped to handle the event till 2013.
And to think I spoke so lowly of Oklahoma since I got stationed here. This is very welcomed news from me given I used to live 40 mins either direction to Spa and Nuerburgring while stationed in Germany.
OKC as a whole has really been making a big push to establish itself. Nice downtown area, building one of the tallest buildings West of the Mississippi, top notch NBA team this news just makes it better.

BTW, where the heck are all you Oklahoma RL's at? I've been here (Tinker AFB) almost 2 years now and don't see much of a Porsche following...

I'm ourside of Enid by 15 miles, beneath the shadow of the Carrier Co-op, tain't anybody else from here to the city. In OKC there is a group of guys loosly centered around Cory Jump at Planet 911 and then, or course, the Tulsa crowd.
As a newbie, I have yet to meet anybody. The War Bonnett (OKC) region does a monthly AX at the sheriff's training track which is fantastic - larger that a typical AX course almost like a short twisty track.
I'll be down in Duncan on Wed. to pick up my new trailer from Bob Rezner - if the hitch and setup take a while, I plan to overnight in Lawton. Always open for a big steak and too much wine....

I live in Duncan and bought my first trailer from Rezner. Good people.
I lived in OKC for 4 yrs while in residency. Raced with the BMWCCA and at Hallett for the last 6 years, so I haven't been a Porsche owner (again) until 8 mos ago when I bought a 911SC roller from Cory.
Primarily my focus is on building my BMW E21 racecar, so I don't attend much in the way of events unless it involves wheel-to-wheel racing

I'm in Harrah (25+ miles East of OKC) currently stationed at Tinker.
I'm actully deployed to Washing DC till November which sucks since I'm separated from my P-car and sucks even more because the DC area is flooded with Porsches.
