I've got a 996 cup motor with rsr throttle bodies and a Motec ECU I'd like to get rid of :-)

Should go right into your 996 and it has a super trick milspec wiring harness that just takes 1 power wire to make it all run.

It would sure sound sweet in the back of your 996....

Oh no doubt I'd be killin with that motor...
This isn't for my car, it's for a potential Grand Am 997 GS car that previously ran the 3.6 motor. They're now allowing the 3.8 X51's as the 3.6's just can't compete against the Mustangs and BMW's....

I don't like the way this is going at all! I think JG Sr. should have a permanent restriction to 3.4 liters OR LESS. He already makes the rest of us look bad, if he sees how easy it is to bolt in a larger motor it's just not going to turn out well for anyone else on the west coast

Would these motors work in my 02 Boxster S? I'd like to have a sleeper GT3 killer one day!

I don't think it's for his car. It's for another car that I have been told may be coming out of retirement and returning to Grand Am GS class racing...

Mark,
The answer to your question is, Yes the 3.4, 3.6, and 3.8 will fit in a box and bolt up to a Boxster S 6 speed.

That combined with a Guards Transmission LSD is all you need to stick it to em.

Considering JR is in my class and we race in the same club, I already had my work cut out for me to try to keep him in view with his 3.4 ...

looking forward to tasting a giant piece of humble pie at our first race together at ACS.

Just make sure we know it's going into a Boxster. We set them up a little differently for the mid-engine guys. There is such a thing as too much diff...
