Scooter? What are you guys using for pit bikes?
I'm looking for options on pit transportation (search was pretty dry), and it would be nice if the 'device' could also do double duty errands to the store/gym.
Small size and light weight are important, and I don't want a bicycle.
I've been looking at Gopeds... electric and gas. 2 strokes are cheaper and have more power... but sound like 2 strokes and that would probably **** off my neighbors . Electric scooters seems like a nice option, but I question their ability to climb the hills where I live, although they would probably be quite nice in the paddock.
Check out this Hoverboard:

Sure, I 'could' walk... but as a friend once told me, "Never run when you can walk, never walk when you can stand, never stand when you can sit, never sit when you can lie down, never be awake when you can sleep." However, I'm not sure if he's still alive.
Looking for input and options!

I've been looking for something similar, but at $1,445 for an electric goped.... LOL!
2 strokes seem to be around $500, which still seems a bit high, but more reasonable.

I love seeing old school bikes at the track. They can be licensed and are all over ebay (Honda CT 70 would be cool). I have a 1973 Honda XR 75 that runs like a champ. Paid $200 for it and it runs like a champ!
Note: the model was not included in the $200 purchase price

I loathe the 2 stroke gopeds for the reasons you mention. Incredibly noisy. Only unmuffled rotary cars and F500's are worse in the paddock.
The more fullsize you get with the 2 stroke stuff it get's a lot quieter as they actually put a muffler on them.
I love my Honda Ruckus. I can carry a jug of fuel with it, the kid can tag along if needed, etc. A bit bigger for sure but if you have the room, well worth it. They can be found for under 1K.

NASA (at least NorCal) bans motorized skateboards - like gopeds.
24.5 Bicycles, Skates, Moped, etc.
No one without a valid state driver‟s license may operate any mode of transportation in the paddock. Skates, skateboards, motorized skateboards, and in line skates are not permitted at any time. PARENTS: Unless your child has a valid state driver‟s license, this means NO BICYCLES.
24.5.1 Segway™
Use of a Segway is limited to Officials only

SSR pit bikes.. best of the china made bikes.
Mine has been dropped by many buddies taking rides and it works like a charm and start ups on the first crank everytime.
Looks like a mini dirtbike.
Awesome at $800

The lithium cell gopeds are over twice that. Yikes.
No model = deal breaker! I'll have to look into the old school bikes. Thanks!
"Aaron Rents", it's part of their new business expansion plan. HOO YA!
An old Cook Bros would be nice! But I don't want to pedal...
I will look into the older bikes. It was the size/weight that was keeping me away... until I saw the goped prices.
I realize that a 2 stroke goped would just **** everybody off. Now the Ruckus, that's something I need to look into. Great suggestion!
With a full bladder dripping sweat after a session? No, thanks!
Ok, cool.
Motor bikes are back on the list. Thanks!
I did price Segways early on... YIKES!!!
The Ruckus looks cool with good utility. More research here for sure.
