I helped a friend put one of these in his 996 about a month ago. What a PITA. Took us an entire weekend to get it in as the fitment is so tight. Now that it's in it rubs the B pillar behind the driver (passenger side has plenty of space), making noise over every bump. It's also so tight that he can't put some of the orig parts back on like the seat belt height adjuster covers or the little coat hanger tabs, so it looks a bit unfinished. I'd look at a different set up if I were you.

You should try the GMG roll bar....I am 6"3" and have no problem sliding the seat back to a comfortable driving position.....

Our early 996 and 997 rollbars were very close to the b-pillar but the seatbelt adjusters do still fit. We have since updated the bars so it is spaced about 1/4 inch away from the b-pillar. This makes the installation much easier. Our bar also allows full seat travel with any seat. Racerboy, sorry you had a tough time with the install. Give us a call and we will walk you through getting the seat belt adjusters installed. The design, fit and finish on our bars is second to none and we invite you to compare them to any other brands on the market.
