Congrats/Thanks to RacerUniversity for joining the ranks of Rennlist sponsors!

For those who don't already know, RacerUniversity (http://www.raceruniversity.com/) is a new online resource for racers to expand their knowledge, through access both to more experienced racers and professionals. The material presentation is modeled after a university, with courses ranging from core competencies up through advanced, grad-school level discussions.

A number of the professional coaches here are part of the faculty; I've signed up myself, both to help the less experienced racers and to fill in some of my knowledge gaps in the advanced courses.

I'd encourage those here who are interested to drop in and check it out.

It's a pretty incredible group of 'gurus' that are being added to every day. Top cage experts, pro data engineers, Driver coaches of the top pros, etc. If you have a question that we don't have an expert for, we'll find him and bring him in to answer the question.

Some points about what this site is...

At first glance, it appears to be a bunch of discussion forums but, in fact, that is not at all what it is. We selected forum software but use it in a very different way. All the areas under Core, Undergrad and Gradschool are read-only and contain the courses. That way the knowledge is organized and does not get pushed back to lost pages.

Let me also be clear that this is not a competing site to Rennlist - rather it is complementary and we fully expect to push many topics back to Rennlist for discussion.

There is really only one area for discussion and it is very focused on the course materials and closely related items.

It is a "Freemium" model - core and undergrad is free, while gradschool is a premium service. About 2/3 of the courses are currently in the free areas. We also have a remote/virtual coaching area that should launch in the next couple of weeks.

It is for serious information but is a fun place. e.g. - If you cross the line, you don't get an infraction, you get a "meatball" flag.

Since my username is "Dean Wormer" I will paraphrase a line from Animal House and say "Sign up, it don't cost nothin".
