Default Any info on this 03 Turbo racecar

This a cross post from 996 Turbo forum...I am considering buying this car and wondered if anyone has any info or opinion on this car and its price. I never had a Turbo so know little about them..I am considering selling my '00 Cup car and recently completed 99 Spec Boxster.. so as you can see all together different rides.. any opinion is greatly appreciated.

Just remember that 996TTs are very very heavy... maybe 700 lbs heavier than your Cup??

Looks pretty similar to my turbo i just sold in terms of mods. what kind of suspension? Coming from a Cup and Boxter, it is a totally different experience as you probably have guessed. Same acceleration as Cup but brakes and cornering are the challenges. Can definitely muscle it around but 3600lbs is 3600lbs, if you know what I mean (with driver). You will change tires, brake pads and rotors like underwear and each run group will be a jug plus. I had no problems keeping up with 997 GT3's depending on the driver. I tracked mine for 4 years but going to a Cayman racer this year.

thanks I have the same opinion... but also thru into the mix the new cayman R... love both my cars but time to lighten up a bit and looking for a change

There are alternative rotor solutions and pagid yellows will last you a while. My TT has been pretty easy on tires and has little problem with GT3's, the torque exiting corners is nothing to play with.
