Read that, but they still have lap times down on the qualifying board, and the fastest lap time there is still slow. If they chose to use new tires after the qualifying session, it would impact their starting position only if they had qualified ahead of another car in class. They didn't, so without looking at the pit notes, it looks like damage (embarrassment) control.

Does anyone know if the ABC coverage is live, or a highlight piece of the start? I don't want to get off the live coverage on my PC to watch highlights in the livingroom.

The ABC coverage is a highlight show, and it's tomorrow, so you get to watch the live coverage on your PC today and then watch the highlights in your living room tomorrow... :-/

Wow, bad luck for the #1 Audi. Same puncture twice in a row...

Unhappy

ESPN3 streaming quality is leaving a lot to be desired right now for me. On the video player's quality meter, I have 1 of 5 blocks - and the resolution is worse than standard definition TV.

Since I got qualifying last night in HD-ish quality, I'm guessing this is just because they're overloaded. That is, unless my Internet service is slower at noon on a Saturday that Friday night....

I have 4-5 blocks steady, never below 4. Some of my friends are having trouble, though. Even at the highest quality it isn't anywhere near HD.

The new safety car rules are absurd and take forever. Something's gotta be done about that.

After I restarted my cable modem, Chrome, and the stream my quality went back to 5/5, and it's lasted about an hour so far.

I can't help but point out that Speed HD TV never degraded quality or required restarting equipment.

ESPN3 is stupid. SPEED should broadcast it. I hate watching this on my computer!

Picture quality, sound quality, ALMS announcers, limited commercials, all good!
Having to watch the race in my office instead of on the 42" JVC in the family room, not so good.

Some users can stream ESPN to their Xbox 360s, but time warner customers such as myself are SOL.
