Default New Hoosier wet line...

Anyone know anything more? I see nothing else on their site...

New Tread Compound Offered in DOT Wet Tire Line “H20″

Lakeville, IN. )February 18, 2011 – After extensive track testing, Hoosier Tire is proud to announce the release of an updated DOT wet tire line previously called the HWET. This tire model with a new tread compound will offer higher traction in wet track conditions, improved tread wear, more consistent and faster lap times.

The new tread compound will be more durable allowing the tire to operate in damp to drying track conditions. Internal construction has not changed. For international customers, the components of the tire are EU (European Union) aromatic oil free compliant.

Contact Terry Gilvin, Road Race Product Manager, with price and availability questions.

Called Hoosier and disccussed new compound with them. They say better than old Wets for wet but still not suitable for intermediate conditions. Said for intermediate (wet/dry, occasional drizzle ) A6 hand grooved by purchaser is their best offerring. Had hoped they would be suitable for intermediate conditions...

The Wets are awesome in the wet , but rubber disappears quickly if it starts drying on you.

I just ran the H2O's yesterday for the Enduro & Qualy at Mid Ohio. They were really amazing. Qualy was drying conditions and even with a semi dry line they did not blister despite getting fairly hot. During the Enduro they handled amazingly but it was wet the entire time.
