Anybody else had issues with Brad Roberts Automotive Group? also in Boxster Forum
I have started the process of building a Boxster Spec Racer and consequently ordered and paid for over $10000 worth of parts from BRAG in mid January. Bits and piece have shown up over the month in no particular order but he still owes me several thousand dollars and now he won't respond to emails or calls to his office, his cell phone answer box is full and texting elicits no response either.
Anybody had a similar experience? At this stage I am worried that I have been screwed.

I know Brad reasonably well. I has a few issues with him shipping parts so he flew out to help me build my car for free. So he may not be the most timely part provider, but he's a very honest guy in my book. He sometimes gets behind with shipping parts, but he's not out to screw you. In my view he just tends to get over-loaded, and then the responses tend to slow. My advice would be to let him know via text when you need your parts by in order to make a race. If you give him a drop dead date, he'll be more on top of it. Also, he's in CA, so send the texts during his early evening say after 3pm west coast time.
Btw, he also really, really knows his stuff when it comes to Boxsters...from what parts to use to setup, he's the man.

Laurie,
There were similar complaints about Brad not being responsive on other boards, including his own, which he closed down around a year ago. Good luck and when your car is finished I hope you'll be able to bring it to an NER event.

I had the same issue with Brad when I built my car as well, part orders left unfilled and no reply. I would suggest that you cancel your order and place it elsewhere, it is not worth the run around.

Laurie,
See my response on the 986 side. I have the exact same experience as Colin. Brad also built my car and last night I had him tied up on the phone to help me out with a problem I am having.
As for getting ripped of. No.
He is a one man show, so when he is heads down doing something he can't respond and it can be frustrating when you want to know about X or Y.

Like any other story, I'm sure there are 9 sides to this one, but there must have been a pretty good case to be convicted of a felony.

Brad is incredibly frustrating to deal with at times, but when he is focused on helping you, he knows his stuff. I had him out at the Sebring race helping me and without him my weekend would have been 1/2 as long. Along with Colin, Brad flew to NJ from CA to help me built my car at no cost.
