The 2011 Watkins Glen racing season will close with the traditional season finale-the U.S. Vintage Grand Prix, September 9-11. This event celebrates racing's history and continues to be the largest vintage racing event in the country featuring historic cars of the past from as far back as the 1930's and is held in conjunction with the Grand Prix Festival in the Village of Watkins Glen. The 2011 featured marque is Datsun/Nissan!

PORSCHE CORRAL

The Niagara Region is hosting a PORSCHE CORRAL during the U.S. Vintage Grand Prix at Watkins Glen.

$75 per person includes:
*Weekend General Admission with access to all grandstands, paddock, and garage
*Track-side Hospitality Tent access Sat/Sun
*Preferred Porsche Corral parking adjacent to Hospitality Tent
*Snacks & drinks all day Sat/Sun
*Catered lunch Sat/Sun
*Paced laps on the track in your own car
*Children 12 and under FREE with paid adult
*All PCA members, family, and friends are welcome to attend

Yes it does especially if the weather was better. It's been raining here nonstop for two straight days as the hurricane out in Atlantic is blocking the windstream and pushing back the rain clouds as far back as the midwest with no end in sight at least through weekend. That is one event I will make for sure either in 2012 or 2013 God willing. Watkins Glen has the reputation of offering best vintage racing this side of Mississippi and Porche corral makes it that much sweeter. Add in the great upper NY scenery and what a wonderful trip in Porsche sports car.
