Hi.


Just got an R3 and that had been used for drag strip racing. No crash time, probably less than 10 uses.

I plan to use it for DE only. Both 3 point and perhaps Schroth 6 pt....


Seat is a 996 GT3 seat (European fixed back type).

What pad(s) should I get from the Safety Solutions website:

there are molded, regular, wing, portable, velcro portable, strap portable....etc.


I think the molded is likely what I want...assuming I can cut it to suit me.

Oddly, the other guy is about my size and has the same seat....and said he never used the pad and it felt fine. ?

I don't use any pad w r3. My two cents, only.

Most of the people I've sold them to don't use the pad.

I didn't use my pad for quite a while but found I was getting sore back muscles. When I started using the pad that went away. The pad can be used on top or under the seat cover on my kirkey seat. Under the cover allowed me to velcro it to the seat back to exactly position it for the best comfort, but it worked just fine ontop as a removable pad
