Default adding double door bars...

Hello, I've got a DAS cage in a 944 with the single removable door bar...
...need to upgrade to a double door bar to run with NASA.
Has anyone done that or know what's possible?

I added a 2nd door bar on my old 968. Same deal it had a bolt in single door bar originally. If DAS does not have a stock piece for it you can have a cage guy do whatever you want. SSI Performance in MD did a nice job on adding nascar door bars etc to my existing cage in my 944.

Yeah,
Take it to cage shop and have them fab one. Just besure to mock it up a bit first. I need a second one for my 944 and need to go into the door to prevent my elbow from hitting it when driving.

I had the same problem in the 944. especially on left turns. I couldn't believe how much more room there was when I sat in the car to see how it would be.

I have to do the same thing on my car to run NASA. Going to just have a cage builder remove the single bolt in bars and do an X.

I had this same problem. Had a local cage builder do X bars that go out into the doors. At the X part he welded in reinforcement plates. It helped move my window net out so it was no longer in the way of my arm. Trying to find a pic.

IMHO this seems like the best design for a combination of strength, protection, and space.
