XPOST What side mount brackets for Sparco Pro2000?
I have purchased a Sparco Pro2000 for my S2 to replace the heavy 8 way electric driver's seat. I'm going to pair the seat with a Sparco slider - I think these mount up almost (I think 4 out of 6 holes?) directly to the stock seat mount points in the floor.
Can I use the Sparco side mount brackets, or do I need to use the Brey-Krause 9060 brackets?
Can I bend the stock Sparco handle to widen it to match the 944 mounting points?
Can you mount the normal seat belt receptacle to the seat sliders using the Brey-Krause 9005 seat belt anchor? http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r9005.php
Any advice is appreciated.
Cheers
Eric

Eric:
If you use the BK9060 side mounts, Sparco sliders, and BK actuating tube (R9045)you can bolt straight into the mounting holes in the car. I used these same parts to mount up a Sparco seat into a 944 and my 964. The spacing of the stock mounting holes in these cars is the same. We have these parts in stock at OG Racing and we can ship to Australia. If you have any questions, please contact us via email at info@ogracing.com
In answer to your question about the seat belt receptacle for the stock seat belt, you can do that one of two ways. You can pick up the BKR9005 tunnel side seat belt anchor, or drill a hole through the tunnel and install bolt the receptacle through the hole using some large backing washers, or a Sparco harness mounting plate that has a nut welded to it. You will need to have someone underneath the car to watch when the drill bit comes through. The early 944 had the receptacle attached to the tunnel. My 83 was like that.
Thanks,
