Schroth camlock magic trick to remove subbelt
I want to detach the sub-belt from my Schroth cam-belt to re-install my seat, so I can attach the sub-belts to the floor then pass them thru my seat and then re-attach the cam-belt, since the cam-belt does not fit thru the sub hole in my seat.
I read a post about the "magic trick" to push the catch down with an allen wrench and then pull the sub-belt out, but easier said than done! I got it off once but I am not sure how. I can re-install the sub-belt easier in the cambelt, since i can see the pin as I am pushing the sub-belt in.
Can anyone give me some additional tips?
thanks
Dave

"Yea, flip the latch over and on the back is a small hole, that is the pin for the sub, push a hard wire or Allen wrench into the hole and you can pull the latch off the buckle, it snaps back on like all the other belts."
I did google and read the post, see above. It is still difficult, since when you have the allen wrench in the whole holding the post down you are also preventing the belt from coming off the latch since the allen wrench is now thru the hole in the belt.
I got mine off, at least my 20 yo did, who says he is smarter than me
