?stock 2006 997 18in wheels for track use?
What are your thoughts on the use of stock 18in 8in front ET57mm and 10in rear ET58mm 997 Carrera III 5 spoke wheels for race/track use on an E class 968? The wheels weigh 22.8lbs front and 22.9lbs rear?
Are they strong enough?
thanks
Dave

Dave, wheel to wheel? Or track/de? I don't have experience with those but have used factory pressure cast wheels for track use just fine, however in WW racing where there may be rubbing and rim contact I prefer a stronger wheel...
Those always looked a little leggy to me, a bit dainty spoke cross section for the size of the rim, but they are Porsche wheels...

Those Enkei wheels are a great deal for club racing! I know they have even been crash tested here on the east coast by some of the 944/968 drivers and they hold up well. Great value for the money imo.
