944Cup

The 944 Cup Suncoast and Southeast Chapters have been combined into one chapter called the "Southern Chapter".

Below is the current schedule for 2011 Season.

Feb 3,4,5,6-PCA-Sebring-2 sprints, 1 enduro (ALL single points)
March ?? - PCA -Road Atlanta - 2 sprints, 1 enduro (ALL single points)
June 10,11,12 -SCCA PRO -Barber - 2 sprints (DBL points EA)
July 16,17-SCCA ATL REGION-Road Atlanta-2 sprints (Both Single Points)
Sept 9,10,11-SCCA PRO- VIR -944CUP Nationals - 2 sprints (DBL pts EA)
October - PCA -Daytona International - 2 sprints (Both Single Points)
Nov 4,5,6 - SCCA ATL REGION -Road Atlanta -2 sprints (Single Points)

Top 10 finishes count towards Southern Chapter Championship.

Tim/Dave, the Road Atlanta PCA Club Race has unfortunately been rescheduled by the track. Once again this coming year it is going to be in late March rather than early April, as had been hoped for in 2011.

Does this mean split starts for the PCA races listed?

I'm not a fan of the split starts. Love having all the 944 cup guys but enjoy the "togetherness" with the other classes.

No split starts with PCA in 2011.

SCCA ATL Region will honor your PCA competition license. No new license required.

More details to follow on the SCCA Pro races at BMP & VIR.

We had a great weekend at VIR last September with SCCA Pro.

Hope to see you at Sebring in February.

Race 1 - PCA, Sebring, FEB 4-5-6 [pts races: 2 Sprints and 1 Enduro]

Race 2 - PCA, Road Atlanta, MARCH 25-26-27 [pts races:2 sprints]

Race 3 - NASA Sebring, JUN 25-26 [pts races:2 sprints]

Race 4 - NASA, Road Atlanta, AUG 7-8-9 [pts races:2 sprints]

Race 5 - PCA, DAYTONA OCT 8-9-10 [pts races:2 sprints]

Race 6 – NASA, NJMP Tbolt OCT 28-29-30 (Nationals)[reg. pts races:2 sprints]

Race 7 - PCA Roebling Rd DEC 2-3-4 [pts races:2 sprints]


15 races for points.

Top 10 finishes count toward Regional Championship.

Cars will need 944CUP Certified DME to be crowned Regional or National Champion and to be eligible for available tire contingencies.
