If you're not going offroad, and ground clearance doesn't matter, why does anyone "need" an SUV versus a similarly sized sedan? On a related note, has anyone else noticed how "sedans" are getting taller and the difference between sedans and SUVs is getting smaller? The new Ford Taurus, and the whole Infiniti product line are about 1.5 inches away from SUV status. Gigantic wheels do a decent job of hiding the bulk, but it's there.

Which leads to another question. Would your rather see Porsche develop a line of sporty sedans or SUVs?

They were going to name the Cayenne "Rose O'Donnell", but apparently the name was already taken.

I spent about 3 hours lapping BeaveRun in a Pepper a few years ago. Runs pretty good on the track. You should have seen the faces of the 911 drivers as I passed them on the straight and pulled away in the turns. Shredded the tires in one day.

I think Porsche will probably do well in this small SUV segment. I wonder though if they'll end up cannibalizing Cayenne sales.
Still, I don't know how you could fit it IN the trailer.

That Cajun likes really sharp but I have no desire to ever own another station wagon. Had an Expedition once. What was I thinking? Small cars and real trucks for me.

Y'all stop dissin on the Cajuns. What ya got agaynst Lusiana?
