Really nice weekend. Great group. Cool track.
I will try to join again in 2011.
(The noise thing seemed to be a non-issue)
Thanks,
Mark

Definitely a great weekend for racing and it was nice to meet a few more listers. I'm amazed at how clean the races were given the size of the field (50+) and differences in speed (1:28's to 2:00). The fun part of having a field that size is that there is always someone to race with.

This was the first race in the new car and although I had to work through some bugs, it worked really well. Saturday I was plagued with too much rear brake that I could not dial out, fixed it on Sunday with a set of street pads. Lost the SC belt in the second sprint on Sunday, which was a bummer since I was leading my class. Happy that I managed to win my class in the enduro and sprint #1

You were flying out there! I was directly behind you for the first 5-7 laps in Sprint 2 till I dropped for a mechanical. Will try to get that posted soon.

That was actually me driving Sean's car during sprint 2, I only had 15 minutes of seat time in the car prior to that and that was on garbage tires, so I was probably driving a little weird early on trying to feel the car out. Bummer about the mechanical.

Guys, good meeting some of you. Good racing all of you. Here is a quick video of a lap from the hood of the car...for those who have never been to Barber, it is great with all the hills.

I had some great battles with a few Rennlist's. I'm working on race video to post.

Here is a video of a handful of passes during the two sprint races at Barber last weekend.

Cuts from the enduro. I was really having to fight the car under braking as I could not dial enough rear brake out of the car. http://www.vimeo.com/16905135

That was entirely my bad for passing under the yellow. I was carrying a lot of momentum up the hill and didn't slow as quickly as I could have and carried past you and the blk car. I tried to, and did give the positions back on the ensuing straight to at least two cars- farther back at that point, I'm sorry you were not one. I owe you.

Wicked car btw- what have you done to it? Or if its easier; what HAVEN'T you done??

Ritter v3.4 I didn't post to call you out but to show all kinds of passes that took place, no worries on my end.

We had some good nose to tail running in both sprint races. At least I was catching you and the black/orange 911 when the yellow came out during the second sprint. I was about 2 seconds back when it came out and I'd like to think we would have battled again had it not ended.

Regarding my car...different motor, different intake, different exhaust, different suspension, some CF/FG body parts, Motec, Hoosier Slicks, 8.5 and 10 inch wheels, lexan.

By the way if anyone is running R6's, be very aware of the slippery slope you are on if you "try" the slicks. I for one am addicted and willing to spend a little more for THAT fix.

Its all good.

"Different motor"- like V8?? What sort of hp/weight do you have to be in R3?
I would have guessed I was R3 or R4 but was determined to be R5.

I was supposed to have and try for the first time new Hoosier slicks but they did not get ordered for some reason
Good thing I did not make Sat's Enduro- the used R6's I had would not have done the whole w/e.

Funny!!!! My radio man (YOU) forgot to call the start. I had soo much room around me going down the front straight that I called in and yelled "Where was my GREEN, GREEN, GREEN!!!!!" Of course, Brent will tell you that there was a problem with my radio Of course, I think someone paid him off to handicap me This conspiracy theory becomes even more realistic when you look at my pitstop time of something like 8 minutes!!!!!!

Next time we use my radios I did yell "green green green....go...go..go..." and the radio yelled back at me.

And I still have "a blister on my finger" from checking the coolant....

It was only 6 minutes not 8 and that is only because you chose to have a latte at halftime.
