Pros and cons? I need to be able to get the 968 (14') plus a future golf cart (8'). With cabinets to the side, as opposed to at the front, will 24' be enough?

I think if you want cabinets then you should go 28. I have a 28 and my father has a 24. He has put a golf cart in with his car (15' I believe) and his crap with no problem. However it was a tight fit and his suburban is packed with a lot of spares. My 28' has more than enough room for anything, but it has a normal open side door which I'm not a huge fan of. On his haulmark 24', the side door comes down ramp-style like the rear. That makes it super easy to load a golf cart and tools. Biggest plus to that is you can drive it in last second. With a normal side door you have to load everything big in before the car. My two cents.

It would be close, I have a 24ft that I put my car 911 or 968 and a ATV or scooter. I measured once and the 911 was 14ft which left 10ft it would be close. With the 968 I have to move it more forward so I can use the escape door. Depends also if you have any thing up front.

Get the 28'. We ran a TSX (183") + a golf cart and they were nose to tail in a 24' trailer. Tool box on either side of the cart, and we're out of room. Now we're running a Civic (175") and there's enough room for a engine hoist.
Have you thought about where you are going to put the extra tires? With a 24' you'll either need racks in the trailer or start stacking them on the golf cart.

My 944 fits perfect in my 24 with a nice front bench. however no room for golf cart. Not even close. The 24 is perfect for my needs, but if I wanted a cart too I would have gotten a 28.
Get the 28 to have space for the cart. A 24 will work only if you don't bring a cart
Here is my 944 and home made bench. I do have 2 feet behind the car, but put it here for balance. Too far back and there is not enough tongue load.

I would imagine that no matter how big your trailer is...you will always find a way to fill it up...kinda like a womans purse!!!
