Default LSR DE @ TWS - Sept 2010

A few photos from the weekend...

As usual, a well attended event!

Bimmers giving lots of room for the flying penguin Cayenne:

Interesting gesture....

I brought home several of this guy's relatives - wedged in turn signal recesses, and pancaked against the chin spoilers, radiator intakes, and front bumper. It was gruesome... some with missing limbs, heads, and other body parts. Another reason to drive with helmet visor down!

Yeah, I couldn't get the autofocus to lock onto his head.

I also got into the habit of carefully checking the inside of my helmet before putting it on - I didn't want to discover in the middle of the braking zone for T15 that one of his offspring had gotten caught inside there and was trying to break free: "Aaaggghhh!!! Aaaggghhh!!! There's a freaking locust in my helmet!!!! Aaagghhh!! LOL!

I was thinking to myself, surely he can take pictures of his HELMET in the privacy of his own house not out in public at the DE..........

My AI's best lap in my car in a red session on Saturday = 2:00:40
My best lap a few minutes later in white: 2:02:39

Looks like I was on pace for a 2:00 run also until I entered T6 poorly and couldn't get on the throttle as quickly (at the 70 second mark). The majority of the gap came from his T2 exit speed (90 second mark), which accounted for more than half of the difference by the time we reached the start/finish.

Plenty of room for impovement, but surprised that I stayed w/in 2 seconds of him!

ER-

Sure - keep THIS ONE to yourself!
My fave . . . so far.
Nice work... OK, so it is an 'insect' -- you made it look like 'helmet bling!'

We need to do a 'shoot-out' sometime!

Good riding with you on Sunday Russell. You're driving pretty damn good. ...well there was that one turn, but we won't speak of it. Seriously though, I really enjoyed the ride.

Yeah, sorry it didn't last longer, but I'm pretty sure that I was going to do something else stupid if we stayed out there any longer. But of course, it was the highlight of my weekend!

The prior owner (he was obviously quicker in it last year). This video coincides with his 2:00 lap.

And this is my comparison lap at 2:02 just a few minutes later....
