2002-05 996 cup car for sale. New price $72,500.
The car is parked indefinitely until sold.
The car is a 2002 tub with 2005 specs. The car continues being extremely fast and although there have been no track records this year, I have been within 2 to 4 tenths from most of them. Final hours on the engine 29. Last winter the trany was refreshed (41 hours on it) and the shocks were also rebuilt. Clutch is stocked with 29 hours on it as well.
Cool suit set up, 2 year old OMP carbon fiber chair, Race Technology DL-1 data acquisition and DASH-2 display, brand new front windshield with 2 tear offs, a total of 4 sets of wheels, many other spares (rotors, drive shafts, pads) worth close to $10,000.
The car should be maintenance free for the next 2-3 years, depending on the amount of driving done.
Asking $72,500.

Hoping to get a 2011 car and do some Patron racing. If not I'll look for a 2009 Cup and continue doing PCA.

Bump.
Just a reminder that the car will be at Road America this weekend.
I am also fully aware that the market for Cup cars is being driven by the 997s. I am flexible with the price of mine.
My next year is looking good and God knows I don't need 2 race cars...

At this pace, I hope I will not have to pay to get rid off the car.... The car will be this weekend at NJMP for those in the East coast who could have an interest.
