In other words....please take my advice and stay in P&C for the duration of the F1 summer break. You can come back to this forum when the poll goes up for the next round of the 2010 F1 season.........
Are you saying I'm insensitive as faux 7 ...........

Funny how Alonso getting a point by generated more furor than faux7's attempt at killing Barrichello... very telling !!!!

I guess that you missed this post. Maybe you need to read all of the threads from the beginning?

+1 It was awesome to watch and as Hobbs said, requires very large attachments... Best pass I've ever witnessed live.

Couple of others fairly recent that come to my mind are both from Suzuka: Raikkonen passing Fisichella outside on turn 1 and Alonso passing Schumi in R130

It's not that simple.
If you're an 1+ seconds faster per lap but slower on straights (as Red Bull's are when compared to Ferrari), in a track like Hungaroring, you have no chance of passing.
If on the other hand you're 1+ seconds faster and you're faster on straights, or if you're in a track like Spa or Suzuka, you have a good chance of passing.

Interesting that Newey decided to not run an F duct at Hungary (I believe that was the report)

Correct. Also, Ferrari didn't run theirs either. Sauber & McLaren did.

I think Red Bull is mainly slower on straights due to Renault engine (which is not as strong as Ferrari or MB). RB won't be dominant at Spa like it was in Hungary.

Yes you have a point. However in the race we say at the Hungaroring it was dull. Yes the track is hard to pass, but when you have car that is clearly faster, but cannot pass (both Vettel and Webbo behind Alonso) it is a signal of real problems in F1. Of course nothing new, but to me it is glaring.

I believe that once again the Force India cars will do very well at Spa (and probably Monza as well).
Their straight line speed is impressive and they don't suffer too badly in the twisty bits it seems.

I would imagine that Newey will have to consider the F duct at those tracks.

Should be fascinating nonetheless.

Wait a minute, thanking a Moderator, in PUBLIC?
Take my advice, delete your post ASAP, before the "pack" sees it; otherwise you risk bodily injury

It's like getting a polite PM, it happens so infrequently between the insult and death threat ones, it takes you by surprise...

I've actually forgotten why. It's sort of like hitting your head...you keep doing it because you know as soon as you stop it's going to hurt.

My wife has been after me for quite a while to retire my Moderator cape and tights and walk away...

Thanks, but it's not really insomnia anymore...it's night terrors

Now be a good boy and go spend your F1 summer vacation in P&C. I'll let you know when it's time to come back here before Spa.
