I just restarted my PCA membership, and printed out all the forms to turn my NASA license into a PCA one. I'll be there. A year without Road America would be sad. Looking forward to meeting some more of you guys. Mark, let me know if you need parts as well, or if it comes down to it, I still have a spare built motor.

More than decent registration so far, considering there is almost 3 weeks left to sign up. Tons of C3, C4 cars. Impressive group of E cars!!! Biggest G field I have ever seen. Promising! See you there!

Good thing you are racing in E now.......
There are only 2 D cars signed up at RA and 5 at T-bolt......
Why is D class not being represented much anymore?
Is everyone moving to Boxsters and Caymans?
BTW........ my money is on you for Trac 2010 E class......have fun........

Post edited, point taken to take this offline, a few PM's sent...
Susan's been great, no issues there, just frustration with the scheduling of the process, not the need for it.

Sterling Doc, all of us who PCA club race have had "the chat" with Susan Shire, the club racing licensing administrator. Frankly, your post about "not having enough time" is already a strike against you.
Susan functions for the club as a gate keeper and also the keeper of the "club racing attitude"
after you speak with her, you will understand what I'm talking about and also will understand much better what the program is about, how it is adminstered, etc. plus "the chat" gives you ample opportunity to ask her all kinds of questions that you would be reluctant to ask on a forum such as this.
Schedule the time.
Best regards
Bruce

I'll say this about Susan. Nobody loves or is more excited about their job than her. When I had the chat with her, I was mulling the idea of waiting from the fall until Mid Ohio the next spring before racing. She talked me into doing CMP after I mentioned I was "thinking" about doing it. I am so glad she did. I'll never forget my "chat" with her. In my book, she is THE ambassador for PCA Club Racing.

Just got off the phone with Susan. She is truly a great ambassador for PCA Club Racing. I would describe the call as more of a personal orientation than an interview. Susan was very accomodating, and we had a great, constuctive conversation on "the process" and also thoughts on how the different organizations handle things. Good points made, and taken, all around. She is a wealth of information about racing and the PCA, and not a beaurocrat behind a desk. I left with only one question to address at the event (out of many!).
Sorry to take this OT, but I wanted to bring this full circle. Look forward to racing with you all!
Now, to go see who's signed up for SP1!
