One of the biggest benefit of floating rotors not mentioned is the absence of "pad kiicback" generated by "run out". This translates into a much higher firmer pedal. Non floating two piece rotors have most of the weight and heat benefits, but only floating rotors eliminate the kicback from bearing play etc.

Mark, having some new hats made up should be easy. I had these made up to fit the Mo30 951 or 928 GTS offset. I'm sure Craig can do the same.
Nice looking product by the way. Also wonder on costs?

Very nice!
Roughly speaking, what will the price comparative be to OE 993TT rotors?
I have seen a lot of ads for Girodisk, but do not know much about the company. Anyone care to elaborate as to the company and the reputation/quality of their products? Stating the obvious, I wouldn't put anything on my car that impacts safety (brakes, wheels, seats, harnesses) without first vetting the manufacturer.
Best,
Matt

Fair enough.
What precipitated my post was my visti to the Girodisck website, and not surprising for a newer/smaller company, it was difficult to draw any meaningful conclusions from the CV of the principal and the work they've done under NDA.
I have no reason to doubt that they make great quality products. To your point, let's let the satisfied customers chime in!

Nope, they are right... The slotts have nothing to do with it. If you looked at the center vents they are pointing the right way to cause the venting or pumping of air out of the rotors. these rotors are Brembo. If you look at my avatar you can see down the end of the rotors and see they are indeed right.
I thought the same thing when I first saw them until I really looked them over.

^^Right, I can see the vanes in that pic. Still, I've not noticed rotors like that before where the vanes are going one direction and the slots the other. Guess it means the slot direction doesn't matter?
A similar thing I noticed on Nitto NT01s. They only have one tread pattern so on the LHS of the car the water grooves seem to flow the 'correct' way, but you then have to flip them around so the grooves look like they would bring water back under the tyre. Weird to look at.
Anyway, the GiroDisc looks like a high quality part and a rotor to fit this offset has been a long time coming. Now they just need one more to fit the 965/928GTS.
