Default Racepak IQ3 on 964

Does anybody know what is the best solution and Racepak parts needed to get a Throttle Position Sensor on a 1994 964?

Can you tap off the DME?

Thanks.

The 964 does not have a real throttle position sensor. There are two microswitches, one for WOT and one for idle [butterfly closed]. The only way is to add an position sensor. Best bets are s string pot sensor on the pedal or a simple linear potentiometer on the butterfly shaft.

I briefly looked at grafting a 951 tps onto the 964, but it was not a straightforward solution.

You might want to look on the right hand side of the throttle body some 964 do have a pot rather than a idle/wot switches, I'm not sure what it was for as I have one that came off an unknown donor. Cruse control? Don't know about the range tho, if you find you have a pot let me know and I can throw a meter on the one I have here in a box...

Hey J, what do you mean by pot? Would you have a picture of it?

Thanks

Also string pots, similar to what is posted but a bit easier to install as you more angles to work with.

Please post about the install when you are done, I'm interested in these too.
