they were welded in when the cage was being fabricated. It was a nice touch i thought.

^ depending on the materals and app I might disagree. Welding a cast/forged eye bolt can reduce the temper and weaken it. Drilling the tube and not at least sleeving the hole can as well. what is so bad about wraping around the bar? Simple and strong.

I don't know enough about welding to agree or disagree.

I just know that the cage builder and GMG know what they're doing as they do the same on their and their customers WC and ALMS cars.

Nice car, I'd recommend wrapping the right side net more around the back of the seat(if the straps are long enough. At the least, move the bottom strap to the other main hoop diagonal.

Regarding the belts. this is the way GMG installed it. They said a lot of them are switching to this but I was thinking about going back to the old style.

I had been looking at this since I've seen a lot of different locations on the mounting points. They're easy to adjust so thanks for the tip!
