Here's another update. Looking good! Can't wait for this thing to be done! (yes, the steering wheel is not mine. just there as a stand so my nice OMP doesn't get wrecked)

2960, I'll I can say is with all that out that is still very heavy. A similar striped Cayman would be 2600'ish.

Jumper

the 2960 is before I had more taken out. I think it will be less now that the heater core, A/C and gutted doors are now done. A cayman is a different animal but a good goal would be to get this car (911) down to 2800.

Laguna is looking less likely these days which is a bummer. I'm still going to try to make it but I could be cutting it real close with this cage and work getting in the way so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Great project. Good luck with it.
Why you started with an S and not a 6 gt3 to benefit from the motor etc etc.

Im currently at 2760 pounds with cage carpet and airbags . Below 2800 things start to get interesting and expensive to push it more.

I really didn't "start" just kinda ended up here over a long period of time and decided I'd just turn it into my track toy

Ok I see.. have fun with it. Lightweight cars are so much more fun than a 700hp pig.
