Ken, your right about the left side but if your 73 has factory cooler lines they're hard pipes Up and over for just that reason, your rsa has rubber lines up over the wheel, also the electricals on the early cars run in the boot, the later models just hang all that wiring above the fender liner above the tire, I ran for a while without them but the flailing rubber from the 18" tires started rubbing through the sheathing...not so good, not so suprising when we're stuffing fat 18" wheels in what is the same wheelwell as early cars.... I run sections in the fronts to protect the pipes and wiring, the insides of my fenders have no undercoating like the early cars and the biggest benifit is not knocking your paint off...
