Hello,

Does anyone have a recommendation for professional cleaning of an intercooler?

I remember a thread a while back that had a recommendation for a company that specialized in cleaning aircraft parts that had good results (hot tanked, ultra sound, etc.) but I could not find it using the search…

You don't have to get fancy or pay someone. I pour about a quart of laquer thinner in it and swoosh it around then dump it out. I then put Dawn dishwashing liquid in my jacuzzi bathtub with hot water. I let the jet of hot soapy water go in one opening and it comes out the other. Now clean the tub before your wife gets home.

Steve, thanks but I should have been more specific in my original post, it is not the inside of the IC that I am in need of cleaning, it is the outside. 10K + track miles on a rather large front mounted triple row IC has led to a lot of tiny pebbles, sand/dirt, and rubber bits packed in. I need ultrasonic cleaning to get everything out without damaging the fins (tube and fin core) to restore max airflow through the core...
