Default Perforated pedal anti-skid thingies

OK, while you racer-types are getting ready for your fun at Watkins Glen, I have a question:
My car's perforated gas/brake/clutch pedals (I believe they are from Hargett Precision) are drilled but do not have rubber anti-slip inserts. When my shoes are wet, the pedals are slippery.
Do you recommend the anti-slip inserts, and if so, where do you buy them?
I've heard they come off in use.
Please avoid innuendo and double entendres in your responses.
Thank you

Try you local skateboard shop for grip tape or an industrial supplier for really gritty stuff. I have in on my floor where I step in so my foot does not slip out from under me when I get in/out the car. Add less than an OZ. The other option is to have your pedals machine to have a rough texture

Maybe these "replacement rubber grips" that Rennline sells for their pedals would work on yours Rick????

Rick the little rubber pads come right off. Use something else or towel off your shoes when you get in .

My pedals have cuts on them such that they bite into the sole of my shoe dry or wet.

Thats why I stayed with the stock rubber covered clutch and brake pedals. Never a problem wet or dry. Gas is a perf metal but with my low horsepower, I just mash it all the way down and leave it there...

I use this, it's like the skateboard tape but available at Lowes

2" x 15' Outdoor Tread Tape Set

Durable anti skid tape
All weather usage
Helps prevent skids on slick surfaces
Non-skid surface

Thank you everyone for the ideas; looks like I'll go the Anti-skid tape route.

+1. Easy to find, cheap, and works wonderful.

The only problem I've had with it is that I've put some on the floor to keep my heels from sliding around too much and it's accelerating the wear in the heel of my Simpsons.

Rick, use velcro for the gas pedal & teflon for the brakes. It WILL help you go faster.
