Default brief spongy clutch at SP

Over the weekend I had two downshifts were the clutch felt very spongy, but didn't effect upshifts. It only happened on those two instances. The car is a 951s with a combined brake/clutch resevoir.

Everyone was driving, but leaving some in the bag, middle 20's. I didn't feel any drop off in braking. Someone mentioned that it may be the combined brake/clutch setup and that may need to be seperated. Do you think this is it or someother issue? Clutch has no more than 55K and may have been replace by the initial owner at 25K. I am usually easy on the equipment and have never experienced this before.

When you bleed/flush the brake syystem, do you also bleed the clutch? It is possible you have some very old & tired fluid in the clutch area (since the brake fluid really does not circulate).

Bleed it first, but it sounds like a slave cylinder starting to go (or maybe the clutch master cylinder, but less likely).
