Default lsd

I have Porsche factory clutch style lsd. It has a single disc on each side. After our local pro drove the car at Putnam he felt it was slipping and being 4-5 years old we decided to replace the discs. The new ones are about .080 to .081 while the old ones are .077 to .078. Is .003 to .004 of wear a lot or little for a disc? I am thinking at a future time we need to upgrade the discs or add a motorsports lsd. What do yu think?

Forget the LSD, stick with the Weed Man.

Seriously, I have no idea other than I put the Motorsport version in my 993.

How much is it going to cost to rebuild your OEM one vs buy a Motorsport one? Then add the fact that the Motorsport one is designed for well, motorsport. The OEM one isn't. In other words the aftermarket one will be better too, and last longer. Do the math...and then buy the Motorsport clutch type one.

I did the math... and put this in my diff instead:

Just the thing for a weak factory diff (mine's from a 951)...

the last fill had Amsoil in the TA. I am wondering how much wear equals too much wear on the discs.
