canopy tie downs
#16
When I close my eyes, I can still see the wheels flying over the rig, into the paddoc.... by sheer luck someone was not hurt... (btw, it was speedsource rig, you'd think they would have known better...)
Some times you are just lucky it has not happend yet....
I would not use 5 gallon buckets or wheels and tires...
<YMMV>
OTOH, I rarely see the easyup type tarps catch air... its the waterproof ones that really fly.

If you're not around, take it down. I saw a canopy tied down to the car under it, the wind ripped the canopy apart, pulled the conduit out of several of the corners, bent a bunch of them, and ended up sending one piece into the windshield of the car, breaking it. Glad it wasn't my car, and I wasn't parked anywhere near him.

thanks guys
will go with trailer on one side, 100 lbs per corner other sides, and if guy next to me starts eyeballing the canopy and the path to his car, or the sky gets dark - it will come down
I agree that anything the canopy damages - I buy (like having a kid in a store.....)
