What a luxury not having a roof in the way!

Kenny has a bunch of cars in his shop, most with roofs, and to my untrained eye, I didn't see any difference in weld quality or tightness to roof in the cars with fixed tops.

Here's some pictures of my completed cage that Kenny did, including some other great fabrication work. Notice how nice the base plate MIG welding is. The front down tubes are so tight to the windshield frame, you can't get a pencil in there.

Colin,

Nice cage work. I see you have Kent's seat pan. Isn't that a nice piece? Kent did my whole cage.

Colin, you put in air jacks! I'll bet Charlie did too. You guys are such weenies.

They look like air jacks but I think it is really just extra ballast. I noticed that Charlie didn't use them even once at Road Atlanta.

Paul,
what's the status on your boxster? Have you gotten it back from Brad yet?

You weren't watching closely. I used them 3 times. (though I have a leak somewhere)

(Larry, Colin and my fab work are carbon copies (though I don't have that seat pan) by design, so yes I have air jacks, too*. No excuses for him when I kick his ***!)

*once you have air jacks, you can't go back!

It is true, air jacks become a requirement after you've had them once!

So once you go air jack, you can never go back?
