Sounds to me like these dealers don't want bothered installing the anchors versus a liability issue. IMO, if you visit a "factory trained" HANS dealer and purchase a device, they should install the anchors as a service to the customer.

I've asked BELL in the past about their warranty terms and at the time, they said they go by a case by case basis. Obviously if someone drills their helmet in the wrong area for the anchors, that would immediately void the warranty. I believe all Bells are now predrilled for head & neck restraints.

We've had no problems with installing anchors in Zamp. Simpsons are crooked 9 times out of 10 in our experience. We use the pivot points on the shields to make our measurements (to determine center of helmet) and they are usually not symmetrical.

True, but I'd rather be a healthy guy with no warranty than a dead guy with a warranty!

The R3 web site has a nice write-up on locating the holes properly. I should have my anchors tomorrow and if I learn anything worthwhile installing them, I'll post it up.
