Default Will these Nitto NT-01 wider tires work in my 996 C4S

After a 5 year hiatus, I am getting back into DE this year. I will start with one of the Mid-Ohio events in May.

My C4S takes 225/40-18 and 295/30-18. I used the 235/40 and 295/30 Pirelli Corsa's before. Now, I want to get the Nitto NT-01. I have to get the 315/30's for the rear, but my car under steered heavily until I put the corsa's (more grip and wider in the front helped). So, now with the wider 315's in the rear I'll have to go even wider in the front. So, I am picking the 245/40's for the front.

The tire specs for the 245/40 and 315/30 says my rim size is fine for that size. So, I should be fine with this, right?

Also, any advice on cold/hot tire pressures is greatly appreciated. The last time I ran in Mid-ohio there were concrete strips which were helpful in figuring out the lines, and I don't see any of that in recent video's. I am relying on the instructor to show me the ropes, but any input in this regard is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Did you do any searches in the 996 forum re: 245s? I think I read that they will rub. I managed the understeer on my 04 C4S with stock sizes at the track going into the corners a little slower and getting on the throttle sooner, FWIW. Nice to heard about other C4Ss at the track! GL

I know the 996TT is a different animal, but sticking with OEM sizes/geometry (MPSC's, R888's) I really got rid of the understeer by replacing the sways for GMG Racings adjustable sways and stiffening up the rear in relationship to the front.
