Default New Spec Boxster: PCA Thunderhill Race!

I feel old and never felt as I was ever wanted! I have had two partners with open ended relationships. In the end or what I thought was the end was me sitting on some, used car lot waiting for what must be my last go. But wait this nice young man took me for a spin, oh no he left, without me and I was moved to the back of the lot....I thought to myself, I must be no good, I must be ugly and over weight. What will become of me? Now I have this dirty old sales guy driving me around smoking....

Well two days latter, I am put into a trailer and ended up in a personal garage. Hmmm....there not driving me, there.... Wow.... I feel great! I have lost weight all my soft stuff on the inside is gone! I feel young hard and smooth. It is a new me!

I get loaded into the trailer and end up at LS WOW do I feel fast, my legs are planted in ways they never have been before, everyone that walks up to me says nothing but nice things! I feel like a new woman, I feel like a sexy women...I am a cougar in my time!

I end up in that trailer again and when I get out I am at TH, what is this? YES! my first race weekend. But this is not the personal trainer that helped me to loose my weight, it is that nice young man again? What is he doing.... He’s Driving and....We won!

Thought I would have some fun. I have not posted our car here, and with the other site close down maybe we need to have a sub BSR forum ....

And sweet racing, great job... D.Potter aka 171!!!
I personally was not able to go, had great time with kids in comp soccer all weekend.

We had some great work done on the car, and much thanks is needed

TC Design did the cage and they did a incredible job, like always. Tony surprised me with tig welding the cage, Big thanks for that TC! That pushed me to want to get the inside looking as clean as possible, I did spray the inside shiny white, along with my garage floor!

Kent from Precision Chassis Works helped out a lot. They offer some unique parts for 911 and BSR... the seat mount and the wing pop up brackets worked out so well and saved me lots of time.

Well last but not least! JWE Rich did such a great job at car set up. What they do and how much they help is amazing. Great shops are not about the bottom line, there about all the little details, Thanks Rich!

Here are some shots of the finished car, and a shot of here at Ls test day, Dave can add some from this race weekend.....

Haha I like the "Cougar" reference. Awesome job prepping the car. It handles so well.

I had a great time racing the other spec boxsters and some spec 911s. Yes I'm biased but I really think the spec boxster class will bring more and more people into PCA club racing. A superb mid-engine setup and so much fun to drive.

Here's my fastest lap of the weekend in qualifying (yes tach is wrong but 10,000 rpm would be nice) and some pics. Hope to see more RL'rs down at BW in May.

Looks like a really nice build guys, and nice driving as always 171.

It was a great weekend and I wish I could've made it out for the event, but a little too busy to squeeze it in this time.
How did the race go? I hope there were more cars there than the pic of the grid shows.

I'm really proud of Jerry and Dave. You guys are great friends off and on the track. Congratulations on a dominating performance. Now I have to get Jerry to work on my spec 911!

Thanks, I did the two sprint races but missed the enduro. There were 4 SPBOXs and 9 Spec 911s. Two cups that were doing 1:53s and a gaggle of GTLs. A 914 and a Spec 944 as well. Few other i'm missing - around 20 cars on the grid i think.

Hopefully see u at buttonwillow

Is the rev counter on Traqmate accurate? You have revs over 10,000 on that one!! Rocking lap!
