Default 2003 996 X51 GTS-4 Club Racer for Sale

Just bought this car and couldn't be happier about it. Tested it this past Friday and was very pleased with it's performance.
But with a recent change in plans and the purchase of a new 2010 Cup car, I need to make room at the shop.

This car is turn key and needs nothing.
I added several items to it to make it more race ready.

I can arrange for east coast shipping as well and will pay up to $1000.00 for transportation.

Please email me directly for more specifics.

Sounds like you must be the person who bought the 2003 996 X51 For Sale from Rennlister TRJ?

Can you tell me what the car weighs? Just wondering how it compares to mine to give me a hint as to if I can found more to take out. Thanks.

I did buy it from TRJ and he was great to deal with. I have all the documents and pics of the build. I really want to keep this car but I have too much on my plate this year with ALMS GTC and World Challenge, not to mention the fact that I have a killer 997 GT2 Cup car being built......stay tuned on that one!

I bought this car to offer my clients another option to getting into a Cup car, something less expensive, and funny enough the 2 clients that were interested in the car are now buying Cup cars as we had 6 of them testing at Willow this past weekend and they got hooked. 2 of them were the new 2010 Cup car and needless to say, that car was very impressive.

I did a 1:28.0 in this black car in my 3rd lap with no set up and used year old Hoosiers that came with the car. This car is quick and I know it can easily get into the 1:26's and maybe less with some new slicks. The car weighs approx 2825lbs. with a quarter tank of fuel and has a lot more weight to remove.

Anymore questions......email me directly if you like as I don't get a chance to get on RL that often.

Thanks,

I have added more to the car and I am considering offers based on what someone wants as a package.

If interested, you can email me directly.

Thanks,

How does this car compare to your blue M3 you recently sold?

James-Man.......how old are we?

There are many configs to sell the car as I put some money into it.
If someone is interested, it's best to email me or call me.....as simple as that.

Corner Carver,
The M3 was a great car and fast.
This car is equally well built but not as fast but should be there with some tweaking.

I figured that. That blue M3 is going to be a force to reckon with in NASA GTS4 northeast. I am looking forward to seeing it in person.

I see you guys are running ALMS this year.
CONGRATS!!!

I am a newbie..and looking to get into racing.
I was up at Willow helping out some friends and saw your set up.
WOW!!!

All of your cars at the track that day were meticulous and immaculate!!

I saw this black car. and it is stunning. The cage work is amazing. The entire car is well done.
You would be hard pressed to find a car nicer than this one.

Good luck with the sale.
Anyone who knows race cars, will be able to tell the EXTENSIVE amount of time and effort put into this car to make it what it is.

Nice comment. 42 but that is no business of yours.

Rennlist requires a price on for sale items for EVERY ITEM EVERY TIME. Too good for the rules are we?

Let's start over, shall we?

Hey James-GMG, what is your asking price? You may not be aware, but listing a price is required in the Rennlist community, even for e-Bay listings. Thanks so much!

Thanks Zeus GT......next time stop by and say hi.

We are very excited about your venture into ALMS as we will be testing this Monday and Tuesday in Sebring.

James-Man, if you are/were serious about the car.......you could just call me instead of wasting space here. I have had a few email me directly or PM me and they don't have a problem doing so.

Like I said, my price varies depending on what I sell with the car.

Price will range from $45K - $52K as I put some work into the car after I got it but make no mistake, this is an amazing car and built properly. TRJ should be proud, as I have told him many times, of this great example of a properly built 996 race car.

I wouldn't see the logic in building your own car with this car being available. Try finding an X51 with 15K original miles and then put in the proper cage, shocks, safety equipment, exhaust work, Cup Car bodywork, etc and you will well exceed this price.

Lastly, I didn't plan on selling this car after just buying it over a month ago but things are happening fast on our ALMS/WC side of racing and I need to focus on that. ALMS GTC will be an awesome class and I need to buy another 2010 CUp car for GMG. Let's see what happens.

Regards,
