I usually hook my straps into the hole in the lower control arm and run them back and underneth. I cross the front as well as the back.

As I typed this I realized it was a bit confusing, so I'll give it one more stab describing the process.

1) pass the strap under the lower control arm (I can do this by reaching around the wheel from the outside)
2) bring the strap up across the back of the control arm
3) find the round hole in the control arm and hook it in.

If you have the steel control arms, you should be able to just hook the top back edge. You could always strap through the wheels as well.

On my 911 I use the factory tie-down loops located just behind and inside of the front wheels. I use a screw-locking carabiner and crossed straps. The rears are attached to the rear wheels using axle straps and go straight back.

Are there similar tie-down loops on a 924?
