Default Gallardo track test

I was fortunate enough to get some time behind the wheel of a Gallardo on Sunday. From a Porsche guy's perspective I think it's a sweet machine.

Here's the story -

Cheers,
Pierre.

A fellow driver, 2 weeks ago, at Roebling was out there in a Superleggera. Stunning. He let his instructor drive it on Sunday, he was turning 1:20's and maybe a few under.

Video of me attempting to chase in my 993...LOL! Go to 6:15.

Nice write up, Pierre.

I'll throw in one... ok, TWO bucks to split the cost of the lotto tickets... then we can time share the Gallardo.

RE the pic of that Superleggera, you've got to be kidding me on that camera and mount.

Did that pass tech?

You have MX3's and Corolla's running 1:19s at Roebling in NASA production classes. I believe spec miata front runners are just shy of the 1:20 mark.

It is always fun to see the 'budget' race cars able to turn similar lap times as those with much larger wallets. Roebling is just one of those tracks where the heavier cars really suffer.

I haven't been to Roebling in 7 years (when I lived in Atlanta) but in my street '99 996 on 17" R1 tyres and one passenger but otherwise completely stock I was at 1 20 all the time... maybe the track has changed

I was timing some of the red group on different sessions Sat & Sun. Most were in the 1:23-1:28 range. Conditions were less than ideal, cold and windy. The lambo with the instructor seemed to be the fastest thing out there. Just sayin.
