Night racing at Sebring

I'd say you can't see anything from T-7 (the safety pin) until T-16 (LeMans Curve). Sebring is the darkest place in the world after sunset.
I've seen guys actually take a wrong term and get lost in the back parts of the track. Since it's an old airport, some parts of the track are very wide. When you consider that they sometimes run the short course, you'll black tire marks go right while you need to be going left.

Looking forward to seeing you at the track Fred.
It is very difficult to see at Sebring but I find that my concentration is better at night.
I agree that the starts are the same as during the day.
It gets pretty exciting.
I bet you will find that you run just as fast at night as during the day.
I had my best time ever last year at night until later during the weekend when I went a couple of tenths faster.
See you soon.

Night race at Sebring is a lot of fun, feels kinda like driving in a tunnel, really only see the track not anything off to the sides. They normally add additional lighting in the back part to help out, going down the back straight seems forever. Remember to adjust your rear view mirror so it does not distract your forward vision. You will love it.
