I thought a custom fit stand21 was a requirement for GT3 drovers.

What are you looking for? What do you like about the GP Tech. What don't you like about the Tech?

I hate Bulk .. we need light suits here get very hot and Humid..
the GP tech pulled on me .. may have just been to tight... ( or I gained to Much!) i have had for three years and its just worn out ( to me)
funny thing after Mussberger made the comment about stand i went and looked at... nice suits expensive as hell.. but you can get them tryuly custom ... colors fit etc.. Maybe accountant would let me write some advertising off..

one thing i noticed was the majority of the guys this weekend at 24 had Sparco on... all my ralley buds wear sparco..

OT (and semi-hijack) Alert:

I have a perfect Sparco suit, SFI, 3-layer IIRC, that I have not used at all, and thinking of selling it in the classifieds here. I can get the size and specifics, with pics, if anyone is interested, but I am 5'9" and 160lbs. for general fit. Please let me know if anyone is interested and save me the trouble of listing it
...and now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Got myself a new Sparco a few years back, after having my second-hand suit pointed out to me. Been very happy with it, got it on closeout from Saferacer.com... one of those 3-layers that wear like a 2-layer. Used to wear it with nomex full undies, now I've moved up to CarbonX shorts and t-shirt.

Still would definitely pursue a custom-fit suit, if I had the option in my budget.

Stand21 isn't the only company that does custom suits either. I do love their stuff and Russell is a great guy at the Road Atlanta facility.

If you want a custom suit you can get them from a number of the manufacturers plus some others that aren't as well known.

TeamDI, Design500, OMP, are among the others that can do custom suits. The level of custom varies from just custom sizing to fully customizable on colors and embroidery. Prices start at about 1000 (Team DI custom fit and embroidery) and go up from there depending on level of custom work done. OMP is about 1500ish to start.

You won't find much ligher than the GP Tech. It's made with nearly the lightest stuff out there. The suit color makes a huge difference down here. Moreso than I thought. I have a white GP tech and it's the most cool suit I've had at the track.

Feel free to shoot an email if you want to talk more about custom suits.
