I would recommend Molecule wash for cleaning/maintaining the Nomex:

It was the only thing that cleaned my son's karting suit...and getting chain lube and fuel/oil mix was impossible by any other means.

Yes! When we bought the house, there was actually a ceramic floor plus the old wood floor. It must have been a sunroom once upon a time. We had the idea of putting the two different woods next to each other and I think it works!
