The Mt Panorama circuit is west of Sydney, and has been called the spiritual home of Australian motor racing. On non-race days its a public road, and can be driven by anyone. No suprise that the local police place speed traps around the track on those days!
The Bathurst 1000 race has been held every year since the early 60's. It was a multi-class race up until 1999, when it became a one-class V8 Supercars race.
