Default Pro-Team TIRELIEF Tire Pressure Relief Valves

I searched and found these nifty threads about TIRELIEF valves.
No clear verdict, some guys seem to love them, others are leery.

Anyone have any recent experience?
The crazy ambient temps in Texas are giving us fits.

Thanks,

Mark

Yes we have used them before. They do work but for a limited time only. They are not a set and leave type of device. For us it took us a little bit to get them dialed in. Once dialed in they worked well for the day or two we used them. After that the springs inside started to get weak and we would have to readjust. Then they get to the point they are not working at all. It is one of those devices that works in practice but they haven't perfected them enough to make it worth while. From a Pro-teams standpoint we fiddled with them too much. It was easier to find the correct pressures, bleed the tires manually and then be on our way on the track.

Hey Seth,
It does seem like if these were super-tidy, and maintenance free, that you'd see them on every car at the track.
And, you don't, so??????

Thanks for the note.

See you later,

Mark
