I wonder about the Grand Am crews, Bob, Steve, Steve, Will, etc. Those guys are all local and really know Porsches better than the back of their hands. Bob has won Le Mans and Grand Am. Some organization is going to get a good pickup.
I'd bet the FL crew that supported Grand-Am will wind up at Kinetic.

Thanx for sticking up for the lil guys Carlos. I cant believe people are blaming this on the crew chiefs, team members and techs. I'm not sure they had anything to do with the financial aspect of the business. Im glad to see everyone getting such a kick out of people loosing thier jobs during the holidays and getting royaly screwed!!!!!

Spencer owned SpeedSport before he/it was bought out by Farnbacher & Loles. Something about the deal lead me to believe that Spencer did not get what he was promised, but like a true gentleman he never really would say.

I called today, Emma still answers the phone, she told me Spencer was going to be opening a revamped FL next week. We'll see, a truely great shop and bunch of guys nonetheless.

BACK at Kenic to be more specific. At least 2 of the Atl. people were there before taking the gig at FL.

I'd prefer to see them with Flying Lizard or TRG because of those teams connections to Porsche and they run the major series.

Either way someone could pick up a full crew that has a proven track record of winning big races and series.

Spencer for sure is a survivor and he has a good franchise that'll be valuable to someone. I saw some of the FL guys at Daytona earlier this week. Some went to Magnus (Potter and Stanton), and others are looking for work. Some VERY good talent there.

This kind of stuff has been going on forever. Does anyone remember the Whittington brothers, and John Paul Sr. (Not the late pope) and some other guy, whose name escapes me. You use to be able to do an ADF instrument approach to the back straight at Road Atlanta, guess what the Whittingtons were carrying when they landed at Road Atlanta. Racing is an expensive sport, and there will always be people who use creative ways to get the money.
