It could well be the beginning of the end for Hoosier as an independent company. $24billion gorillas rarely play with small independents without squishing them. I hope I'm wrong

or....and hopefully.....maybe Continental will put their marketing weight behind Hoosier and get them into more series that they were not represented well...maybe that's the deal for Grand Am?

Continental sponsored Nadine and I for a few years in Targa Newfoundland. I actually like their tires, maybe not for track use, but for street DD performance in all weather, they are good.

Apparently Conti used to build tires for Hoosier 15-20 years ago. That may have continued all along, but I know someone who worked there back then.

As a reminder, Hoosier Racing tire has partnered with Continental Tire and will be providing Continental with the same exact tire specification with cosmetic changes only. The 2010 tires will be branded "Continental" but again, the tire specifications will remain identical.

That is exactly what I predicted on this one when I saw the notice about the partnership. This is going to look funny but I understand the math
