Monterey Historics
I've been watching the races on Speed tonight and noticed what seemed to be a very large Porsche contingent. Is this normal or was it a special event for Porsches this year. Seems like a lot of famous drivers were there too. If always like that, I think I may have to plan to attend next year.

My brother and I attended the Monterey Historics this year and he shot some great photos. You can see them here: http://www.capturecharacter.com/clie...cs09/index.htm

You might guess that my avatar pic is from the Historics.
Funny they replayed the show on Speed today and I again watched the 935 Porsches battling the Chevy Monza's.
That guy French from New Zealand (?) must have the boost turned way up, he was walking anyone that got close to him on the straights.....
But it did seem like everyone there was a Porsche fan, and holy cow you should have seen the beautiful cars just cruising around Monterey, truly jaw-dropping around every corner.....
I'd recommend it any year, probably the best Historic racing this side of the pond....

This guy, he was having BIG fun....
And I mean scenes like this were just mind-blowing.... I think the first car was Brian Redman driving the wheels off....

A ton of Porsches every year, probably more so as the featured marque. Awesome event to spectate... don't think you'll drive unless you have a true "historic"... vs the vintage weekeds around here where you can run nearly any modern car in catch all classes.
