I'm a huge F1 fan and Porsche fan both, but I'd like Porsche to re-take the overall Le Mans before being an F1 back runner.

Man, I would much rather see them go
the p1 class in Le Mans.

I think it would be [under the name of] Porsche, now that Porsche belongs to the group, or Audi – or even Volkswagen.
Can you imagine the drivers fighting to get a seat in a Volkswagen F1 team?
Someone tell me this can't happen........please!

If you consider an F1 car to be rear engined, then Porsche clearly has an advantage...

Lewis, why do you consider a current F1 car "rear engined"?

I don't....just couldn't find the 'sarcastic' emoticon.

I can see Porsche providing the Safety Car (Panamera Turbo) and Medical car (Cayenne Turbo)....that has been proposed/offered in the past....but I can't see them as an F1 constructor.

I can see Audi/Lambo/VW and just using the Porsche name (or perhaps a Porsche engine)....but even then it's a bit of a stretch.
I'd rather see them go back and win LeMans outright...in any class.

Porsche as an independant could never afford F1. However with VW paying the bills then VW can go into F1 and brand their team "Porsche".

Maybe it could be a Porsche with the VW logo on the nose like it is with Ferrari / Fiat

Works for me as long as they are properly funded so they can win, and not be hamstrung by the racing regulations.

Audi to F1, makes room for Porsche LMP1 in LMS and ALMS.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't VW-Audi Group own Cosworth as well?

Ford sold (all of or part of?) Cosworth to the owners of Champ Car in 2004.

I'd rather see VW in the 2012 IndyCar Series and Porsche and/or Audi in LMP1.

Will the VW CC be the right size to fit over a Nascar crash cage?
How will the Nascar boyz take it having a VW furrin' car race on track.
Wasn't sure if there was much furor over Toyota going in.

Is Porsche Motorsports division interested in contesting LMP1 with Acura and the diesel cars.
