Yep! I know the feeling!

PCA race is cancelled. But, the NASA race on the 7th and 8th at CMP is good. I signed up today. I hear a lot of Pcars will be there since they cancelled the PCA race.

Congratulations!!.

Now I know why you were MIA last weekend. Appreciate the offer. The kid is coming up from FL for the Peachstate event so I don't want to risk her not having the black car to drive, she prefers it to the boxster, go figure....(apologize for the OT)

Well I've got to say I'm thrilled. The weekend went great. My wife and daughter really enjoyed the weekend. They watched me on the track for a few runs and also greatly enjoyed the stay at the brand new Cambria Suites. Looks like I'm back in the DE game as wifey asked me when my next event was scheduled!

Quick question. This was my first DE with the Boxster/top up (I did a HOD event in which they allowed top down). Although I have the Brey Krause extender bar, I'm still a bit nervous about the safety margin on rollover with this car. I'm 6' 3" and my helmet was touching the canvas top. I'm wondering if the GT3 seats can be lowered? Or should I just go to a different car for the track? I loved how the Boxster handled and would enjoy keeping it as my DE car.

I hope the wife truly enjoyed the weekend - but you got to tell us - which hotel did you stay at?

Then, according to PCA National - all tops up at a DE. So you have to think of your comfort level if you want to go on in the Boxster (which is a GREAT DE car - and yes, I'm wondering how the spec Boxsters are doing for racing now that they are permitted) or move on to a car that fits your needs on a track.

On that note - wanna buy my 89 944 S2? I do believe you'd have more than enough head room... and it's already set up for DE.

And sorry I didn't get to meet you when you were with Florida Citrus last weekend. I felt horrible that DoginBlack left real early on Saturday - so did Eric... it felt so... so... empty.

We stayed at the Cambria Suites/Savannah Airport. I have stayed at a lot of high end hotels that weren't as nice as this $89/night hotel/motel. My women are "foofey 5 star hotel types" and they loved this place.

My wife is not a car person. She is wanting to replace her 04 Expedition. She said that she'd be happy to take over my Jetta as her DD and buy me a different car. (yes I'm a lucky guy) She also spotted a couple 997 3's at Roebling that she thought looked real nice. Hmmmmmm.

For purely safety reasons I think you should get nothing less than a cup

Seriously if I were to rewind I would do it but then thats the whole chicken egg story.

Maybe I should have just bought your Boxster way back when you suggested it, Christian. :-)

Gotta claim ignorance. What are arm restraints?

NASA also - I'm wondering - maybe Porsche does also - in the case of cars like a Lotus 7 that has no top... but is it where there is a top - up it goes...?

So many clubs - so many rules...

Darkside,

I was checking your website description of the Roebling event coming up. Do I understand that it is only $150 for 3 days? (It seems as though in addition to Sat/Sun, Friday is listed as being a lapping day for solo qualified drivers?)

Friday Lapping Day is $150. We run two groups - 30 minutes sessions - alternating. 1 hour off for lunch - and a few 5 minute pit stops for the corner workers.

The DE is Sat/Sun and that for members is $225 /non-members $250 and if you are paying by Paypal - an additional 10 bucks.

And yes, Friday has a minimum requirement - you must have been a solo for a complete DE weekend with an organization like PCA, BMW, etc.

Hope that straightens it out for you...

Friday has 20 folks signed in

Sat/Sun - I have 143 on the roster - but 9 are not for the track and 4 are folks like my CDI, ***'t etc. that go when they can because they are normally to busy to get on the track when they should. Whew.

Is 143 close to capacity? Am I a member? (I remember doing a DE a while back at Roebling in my spec E30 with a group other than PCA which may have been yours). I like Roebling. I may make it up there.
